If I do it again I would bomb through both and Kazakstan and head to Semey to have more time in Mongolia (have a 30 day double entry visa for Russia) then down to the Mongolian border where you could wait 3 days before you enter....When you leave back into Russia hence Double entry and hit the Siberia highway West, or spin round East and drop down to Vladivostok for the Cargo Vessel to Alaska....
